Just added the 89 Regal to the Garage

Would you guys call it a Custom or a GS? It won't let me chose both. I'm leaning more towards GS myself.

ahh, you're talking about the garage on the website Yeah, if it were me I'd chose GS over Custom. I think GS is the higher trim level

That's the thing, it wasn't a trim level back then, it was a handling/appearance package that could be ordered either on a Custom or a Limited.

I know, but what I'm saying is that if yours is a Custom GS, I'd label it as a GS. If it wasn't, I'd say Custom. At least that's my logic, it has to be one then the other.

What does it say on the dash? Passenger side, on the black panel. My '91 Regal GS had NO limited badging on the outside, only GS badges. But on the dash panel it said "Regal Limited".

It says Buick Regal Custom on the dash, Regal Gran Sport on the doors, Regal GS on the grille and Buick on the trunk lid. Also, where the gear indicator is on column shifter models, it says Regal. Edited August 10, 2011 by emb1230

Then you have a custom. Mine had those identical badges: grill, trunk, and "grand sport" letters on the doors i believe. But the dash said Regal Limited.
