zrothauser Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 I have a junkyard sunroof assembly to be put in my car, however the cover piece needs to have the headliner replaced. There doesn't seem to be a way to remove the cover from the assembly without removing the top glass... is there a way to do this? It looks like the screws to remove the glass are under the glass, would I have to install the assembly and use the motor to move the glass to where it could be removed, or can I do this with it off the car? 55trucker Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Are you referring to the sliding sunshade panel? If so the glass must be in the full *vent* position to be unscrewed and lifted off, before the glass you have to remove the wind deflector as well. After removing the glass push the sunshade fully forward and then push it sideways to release the track blocks on one side, lift that side then the other and lift it out. Quote
