GOT2B GM Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 it wont lock into place unless you are parked on a steep downwards incline or hit the brakes hard. Quote
justaguy Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 it wont lock into place unless you are parked on a steep downwards incline or hit the brakes hard. I'm talking about the back part of the seat,it always moves forward, won't lock in place Quote
GOT2B GM Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Yep, that's what I'm talking about, it will fold freely unless you park facing downhill, it will lock, and you'll need to use the lever to fold the seat. Quote
justaguy Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 really?,I thought it would would'nt fold on a level surface?? Quote
GOT2B GM Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 That's the way it's designed, only requires you to use the latch when the seat wants to fold ahead on its own. Quote
justaguy Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 well i'll be darned, thought it was broken, well you learn something new everyday, thankyou, how can you tell i'm a newbie, lol:thumbsup: Quote
Addicted2bass Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 That is how they are supposed to work. However I have never had the seats lock in the TGP or the 96 GP I had. It was annoying in the 96 because when I was braking, especially going down hill the back of the seat would always push forward. I think the AQ9s in the TGP are heavy enough that they don't do that. Garrett Powered Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 I know the seat belt will lock and I have seen the little weighted pendulum mechanism in the door mount. never seen the seat lock upward but I can imagine it being that way. Quote
