That would be awesome. That'd be the perfect project for the car I have in mind to buy when mine is paid off. Could do it in a Lumina, or even a CS sedan. Talk about a sleeper right there.

And don't say it won't fit. There is always a way

I believe we talked about this before, and figured out that the engine bay in the older cars is too narrow to fit that engine if I remember correctly.

oh lol my bad newbie for you that sucks thou going to at least try it some day tho i want to put a l67 or ls4 in my lumina when i have the money but right now got to fix it so i can get to work:confused:

Seeing as how an LS4 is still money for scrap, your better off with an L67 with mods to get the same power. Besides I think the bellhousing is different on the LS4 compared to the L67 for your tranny.

hell like the idea off the ls1 but not going to dump that much money in my crappy lumina lol ill probable get a l67 when i get the money and can find one real close, going to fix my 98 lumina next week end blow head gasket.

I looked into doing this swap for my `94 Cutlass awhile back and i did some research and it brought me to MilzyMotorsports.com. The guy there said it would run about $7k to drop in with the transmission. So i guess it is possibly but i wouldn`t even attempt to think about that wiring nightmare. Go with a supercharged 3800.

Even GM found a way...

You say that as if GM doesnt have a mind-blowingly effective R&D department that had all the tools and parts to do this quickly and easily.

I think a complete dropout would physically fit. Wiring would be challenging, but not impossible as Fiero guys have blazed that trail.

I had originally wanted to attempt this on my car, but have lost interest in W-bodies and FWD cars in general.

Might as well go nuts with a cutter and welder and get a LS1/T56 and go RWD...

if you are going to do that, LS2 or LS3 i mean what the hell arent the ZR1 motors like 10K? could you image that living in a RWD gen 1 wbody

Since we're on the subject, even though this vid is almost 3 years old, I still find it inspiring.

90% chance something I'll never get to do.

I'm sure if you have the tenacity and tools of a V8 Fiero owner, and a matching attachment to w-bodies, it can be done.
