ron350
The high side access port on my 96 Regal is leaking 134a and needs to be replaced. The problem is that the port requires a special 15.5mm 8 sided socket that I can not find. Has any one replaced one of these high side ports? ManicMechanic
Socket should be 13.5, not 15.5mm http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/J-38704-A-C-Charge-Valve-Octagon-Socket-Kent-Moore-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem415bb67208QQitemZ280711557640QQptZMotorsQ5fAutomotiveQ5fTools#ht_1119wt_1008 Or the easier and possibly cheaper route might be to replace the entire line with a new or used one... ron350
The replacement port 15-5438 and the port on my car measure 15.4mm flat to flat. A 15mm open end wrench is too small to go on the port and a 5/8†is too big. Guess I will be tracking down a Snap-on truck to find the right socket. AL
And a 16 wont fit?
ron350
I only brought up the wrenches to show that this AC port (valve) is larger than 13.5mm. They might call the port a 13.5mm but mine measures 15.5mm. Please just let this thread die.
