d2jc
New to the Forum. There is an earlier thread titled "Torque Converter Intermiettent Lockup Problems." I have a 1993 Buick Lesabre that has the identical problem. During the first 10 minutes of driving, transmission shifts into overdrive no problem. As I am cruising in overdrive, about 10 minutes into the drive it will slip out of over drive into third and won't go back in. Turn the car off and start again, same thing. Sounds like the PWM solenoid as described in the above titled thread. My problem is that I cut the C wire and it disabled the Traction control. It was red. In all the wiring diagrams I can find the transission solenoid connector has wires labeled A thru E. My connector has A thru G. Anyone tell me which lead is to the PWM Solenoid? RobertISaar
on a 93 lesabre, the TCC PWM circuit is a dark blue wire in pin B.
d2jc
Cut the Blue wire labelled "B" trannie now shifts into overdrive like it should. Only noticeable difference is on agressive acceleration the 2nd to 3rd shift is somewhat abrupt. Thank you.
