gpchris
The radiator in my 3100 is slowly leaking. I have a brand new dohc radiator laying around and I'm wondering if I could just throw that one in? I know it's a little bit thicker. Am i going to face any clearance issues? GnatGoSplat
As far as I could tell by comparing the two, the side tanks are the same and I thought the fan mounts were the same, so you should be able to use the DOHC radiator with no problems. ron350
When I put in the 1-1/4 thick radiator I had to add ¼ spacers where the fans mount to the radiator. Without the spacers the nut that holds the fan blade on touched the radiator core.
Crazy K
on 94+ gen 1/1.5 cars the thicker lq1 radiator can be installed without issue, with the exception of the clearance needed for the passenger side fan. Myself, I installed a fan from a LQ1 in place of that fan lacking clearance.
