Garrett Powered Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 well then maybe paint them primer red. that way they look like rust at least. then you don't have to be labeled a ricer. and it would be porous like the metal they are made of. fuck it just give me some regular old rust for added surface area. more the better. blackgtp95 Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 I vote Silver that is the way I did mine somebody else said "Looks like clean metal" plus when they do get dirty they don't show the brake dust as much as a bright ricer color Quote
Cully77 Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 I did silver on my 98 z34, but with those wheels you could barely see it anyway. Quote
GtpKo Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 I put VHT yellow on the fronts only... I don't know why it sounded good at the time. It's all about the prep, make sure you get the metal clean. I learned the hard way when you take the "aw, should be fine" route lol. And next time, it will be F-body fronts, silver all around. Silver looks clean! Quote
Euro Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 Yeah I have no idea why the 2nd picture looks like that. It was an ex's camera ha. Quote
mra32 Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 IMO brake calipers on most cars look ugly as hell (cast iron with weird shapes and contours with extremely rough surface finish), so I wanted to hide them as best as possible, so I did them satin black. Pretty much invisible behind x-laces. Quote
