Transmission TCC Stuck On code

I just got a P0742 code (TCC stuck on) today while driving. The transmission has never been quite right in that car. When trans temp is in the 180-205 range, it will start kind of hunting around for a couple seconds after I've just taken a corner fast at speed. It's been pretty mild but has been a bit worse since I put the car back on the road this week and after taking an offramp real fast today it started its hunting around for the first time set a code (and disabled cruise for whatever reason), so I think the 2 may be related and that the transmission shifting around is actually just the TCC going on and off.

 

My guess is the TCC solenoid is going on the frizz so I might replace it whenever I get around to rebuilding the engine, but that's just a guess. If anyone knows anything about this I'd appreciate the replies.
