97 monte tail lights on 98 lumina is it possible?

I've been told they bolt in, just have a different lense design. you may want to swap out the lumi trunk center filler for the monte one that's black to match.

if you've ever seen a LTZ lumina, you'll see GM actually did it from the factory as well.

If i recall you might need to drill one hole at the top center of the trunk lid for the LTZ/Monte center panel as the base lumina never has a panel there, but other than that, it should be bolt in.

When the paint on the rear of the decklid starts peeling on my Lumina I'm just going to bolt on the LTZ panel...

Yeah for the ltz rear panel on a base Lumi you can drill a hole or I think some people just cut that tab off and it worked

The trunk panel without the middle upper pins will warp in the sun. Just be warned.

 

Also the fit of a Monte tail light with a Lumina trunk panel is absolutely terrible. They don't match because they are shaped different. If you want Monte tail lights make sure you do the trunk panel too.
