mclaren18psi Posted October 15, 2003 Report Share Posted October 15, 2003 i have a 89 turbo gp and a 88gp 2.8 and im lost i have poped a check light on the 88 2.8 mpi it said my iat is bad but after all reasarch it shows that its on the intake well min is the old intake that short rubber from tb to maf then in to a small canfilter that looks of a old school carb air cleaner and i cant find this sensor i have bought the stupid thing and know with winter comming quick i want to park my tgp and go back to the daily driver i need to get this fix quick so if any one has the 88 gp with the same set up let me know i just cant find the sensor thanks in advance Andy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gmrulz4u Posted October 15, 2003 Report Share Posted October 15, 2003 In your case, the MAT(Manifold Air Temperature) Sensor is actually A PART of the MAF(Mass Air Flow) Sensor. MAT is the older term for IAT(Intake Air Temperature). So it looks like you have to replace the MAF Sensor itself. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
