gpchris
Your the man. You know ive had a post about this on motorswap.org for the longest time and no dice. I put it up next to brian teels 95 pinout and it looks a little confusing on the missing pins. Looks like i have to move E1 on the 96 to A3 to match the 95.. as for the others im at a complete loss. It doesnt look like they match up. Im very confused.. Help?
RobertISaar
B3 pins look fine, different terms, same circuit. the E1 pin on the 95 only applies if the vehicle was originally a L27. not sure about how it works with the 96. the other two i'm not so certain about. gpchris
I just noticed something.. Why does the 95 have a low oil pin AND a "Engine oil level sender output" pin.. Im thinking brian teel may have messed up. Do you happen to have a 95 c100 pinout?

gpchris
Your amazing. Looks like only certain motors got the extra oil level sensor? Idk I'm sure this will make more sense when I have the harness out. Thanks dude.
RobertISaar
supposedly. vin L is L27, so 95 3800 regals apparently had two oil level sensors? then again, it calls one a switch, so IDK.
gpchris
Apparently I'm trying to get a 96 regal 3800 harness to work with a 95 grand prix 3.1 interior harness. Any tips for me? I'm not a wiring expert but common sense has gotten me through a lot of engine swaps and obd1-obd2 conversions.
RobertISaar
you may want to chat with BXX, he's done a few at least, though i believe he's used to the 98-99 MC/Lumi 3800 underhood harness. the only significant difference i can think of would be that the 96 harness would be setup for a 4T60E instead of a 4T65. RobertISaar
4-tee-what now? I'm running a getrag, brother i know it, but that's the only wiring difference i can think of off-hand that would exist between a 98-99 3800 harness and a 96 3800 harness, even though it clearly would not apply. I got ya, but wouldnt a 96 have a 4t60e? Both my 95's had them.
RobertISaar
yes, and the 98-99 3800 harness, which seems to be the most popular one to use, would have been setup for a 4T65.
