ScoobyDoo82
Hokay so before I start ruling things in/out with my GP, I want to figure out the check engine codes first to make sure I dont have a dying ECM. Ive got the flow-charts off Alldata but they all require me to use a scanner to do certain tests, is there a way to get around that, because I dont have access to these very expensive suckers. Like probing certain wires and checking for voltage? The shop I took it to noted that there is no 5volt reference voltage, yet I probed the wire and found out it is getting reference voltage. The codes I have are 22 (Low signal voltage from the TPS), 23 (IAT low (-30°) temperature), and 43 (Knock sensor error). Just for the record, I checked the signal voltage from the TPS to the ECM and it reads 4.6v at WOT. I don't want to rule in the ECM without proper testing, but another thing I've noticed is that it doesnt communicate with the coolant level sensor... theres no check engine code for it and the light doesnt come on with the key in run (the bulb is good for reference, once in a GREAT while, it will pop on). Lot of info, I know but I just want to drive this car already, I'm tired of it sitting around, before I decide to "sell" it again
