regalman
My new Kenwood has these filters, how do I adjust them? Car has 6x9s in the rear and small factory tweeter and 4 inch woofers in the front. New Microsoft Word Document (2).doc
alec_b
Probably set the front around 150 hz and the rear 100-120 depending on the speakers. If you don't have subs you may want to set the rear to 80 but much below that and the speakers will most likely distort.
white4d96
Just generally, x9's can go like 60-80hz, I set small door speakers at at least 150hz, sometimes higher. Just play with it until you don't hear distortion in mids and highs from the bass.
xtremerevolution
What they said. Giving a rear 6x9 a 40hz tone is a quick way to send it into over-excursion and make it sound like garbage.
white4d96
Don't ask how I figured that out
