conley3.1 Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Does anyone know the exhaust diameter for a 92 3.1 Lumina? Mine is at the shop right now, engine swap. I want to put on an exhaust cutout, so i need to know the diameter, and I haven't had a chance to measure it lately. Thanks. Quote
99RegalGS Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 On my regal It's 2.5" going into the cat an 2.25" after the cat. I have a 3800 so it might be different, but it should be close if it is. Quote
Redfox340 Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 After the cat on a 2.8L / 3.1L pushrod motor, it is 2.0" PhantomFE3, Robby, anyone... wanna spot check me on that? - Erik Quote

phantomFE3 Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 its the same before the cat, im pretty sure. what do you have planned? dual exhaust? Quote
4spdz34 Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 i thought it was 2.25 before the cat and 2 after it Quote
conley3.1 Posted October 16, 2003 Author Report Posted October 16, 2003 I wish dual exhaust. No, just an exhaust cutout Loud and annoying. Quote
fleetwoodguy79 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 2" before and after the cat. 3.4's are 2.5" all the way back. Quote
conley3.1 Posted October 18, 2003 Author Report Posted October 18, 2003 thanks. Now if i can only find a 2" cutout... All i can find are the flue/flew (sp) type, i want a simple remove-the-wing-nuts kind. I think the flue type would probably wear out quickly, just like the chimney kinds do. Any experience with them?
