Cutlass Exhuast questions

I want to put some new mufflers on my car. I've watched some videos on youtube and I didn't find anything I really liked.

Here is what I did like.

I know some people really like the way Magnaflows sound on the DOHC.

Here is one of Jake's videos:

It doesn't sound terrible, but it seems too raspy for me. I don't care if I have a loud exhaust. As long as it sounds good, the car doesn't get driven that much.

I really like the way these Flowmasters sound too.

I don't have a cat on my car and I have a gutted resonator. I'm trying to figure out what's going to sound the best on my car. What do you guys like the best?

The OD of the y-pipe after the resonator is 2.25. Is that right?

Anyone know the IN diameter of the y-pipe?

I would like dual exhaust tips for each muffler. Anyone know where the get the C6 tips?

That sounds pretty good Jake. What kind of Magnaflow mufflers did you get?

I was looking at the straight through design. Cool, I'll look those tips up on ebay.

keep in mind, exhaust LENGTH will also determine resonant frequency.

fieros have a very short exhaust system, which can prevent resonating waves(drone) from occuring.

i used to have a calculator that would take into account at what RPMs you experienced drone, the length of your current exhaust system, allowed you to choose an RPM range outside of normal operating conditions, and then it would calculate the exhaust length needed to achieve that, but i can't find it anymore...
