carkhz316 Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 No. Not ever. Are you sure you don't just have the highbeams on; since it uses both DRLs and HLs. (runs the highbeams in series/ 6V while in DRL mode). Quote
redynscire Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 alright... i get in the car. put my key in the ignition. (headlight switch is off) turn the key on,.. DRL come on, but so does the dash lights, parking lights.. if i turn the parking lights on (at the switch) there is no change (like they were already on...) turn the the headlights on and the DRL's go out, headlights come on. highs / lows / DRL's all seem to work but the DRL's seem alittle bright for 6 volts??? In the daytime, they will be off... That is what the "eye" on the dashboard does, tell the lights if it is dark out to come on... Quote

88red4cyl Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 ?? He's saying that you are legally supposed to have them turned on before it's dark enough for the DRL system to turn them on automatically.. In Missouri you are supposed to have your lights on if its raining as well, so most of the time it isn't dark enough to trigger the autolamps, so you may have to manually turn them on as well in this case..
