FFP coilover rebuild

Recommended Posts

what do i need fellas? Been out of the game for too long, and now that i am driving it i hate the squeaking i get over every tiny bump. I know the struts are GONE.

Should i have a rubber or poly isolator under the spring or should it sit on the spring perch (aluminum threaded nut).

I was under there tonight with it in the air spraying PB blaster on the trailing arms to finally put on my gmpp arms (in garage for 4 years).

The car also misses slightly like it has a little cam in it. WTF?

It seems sometimes when i hit the gas to take off from a light it also almost dies for a split second and then takes off and drives fine.

LMK GUYS.

Jay

As far as coilovers go, youll want something at the top and bottom of each. However since I rebuilt my FFP coilovers, I never really got rid of all the niose... I hope you can. I need to rebuild mine, but dont wanna pay for another alignment.

Check your fuel injectors, I had that problem for the entire time I owned it, until one injector died, and I replaced all of them and now it's fine. Hopefully not something like that, but keep it in mind.

I know adam had a little bit of rubber where they meet to quiet it down. I need to do that on the bottom of mine where the spring sits.
