spiderw31
Just recently my GP has decided that it doesn't like being filled up anymore. Basically, unless I manually hold the fuel filler on the pump to 50% or less, the pump will click off. Happens every time now, at any station; never used to. I'm suspecting something with the vent or evap system, but really this is something I've not run into before. Where should I start looking? BXX
The vent tube is prolly clogged or restricted
spiderw31
Makes sense. Never looked for the vent tube before, but I'll presume it should be pretty easy to spot coming off the fuel tank itself?
Dark Ride
It is part of the fuel filler neck, if you look under your car's tank there are two big lines coming out, one much bigger than the other, the smaller one is the vent tube. I'm sure you can figure out what the bigger one is for:)
spiderw31
Cool thanks The car is back from inspection so I can go looking under it now. Of course, now I've got an asploded CV boot on the right axle, so a bit higher priority fix coming up. That's another thread though...
