npfd
The beater, 97 CS, 3100. We changed the water pump, for the second time, end of March, with a Cardone brand one. Now it seems to be leaking again for the similar spot, not sure if it is, but underneath the car, we see that there's drips of coolant, now a puddle.... I hope its not the bloody pump,,, just changed it... I don't know what else to look for, had a look around, didn't really see anything... I have been topping off the coolant reservoir in the last while... maybe a hose? Don't know if they've been changed... Its wet underneath the front dogbone.... like the metal part... To add to this, water leaks into car, parking brake cable binding.... Thanks for any help Edited June 6, 2011 by npfd

z34mightymachine
Check the lower hose for the Radiator. Or the Radiator.
npfd
Thanks for the input, I know its wet underneath the AC compressor, when looking underneath the car. The hoses seem fine, I have to have another look, but it is puddling underneath the Water Pump on the driveway. Before the pump used to squeal a lot, since we changed it, it doesn't do that. One thing I noticed the first few weeks when we changed it, the car warmed up much faster. The other day I noticed it seem to be taking some time. My apologies, the last part I mean rainwater leaks into the car, that's a separate issue haha
z34mightymachine
It could be a defective water pump.
npfd
I'm thinking the same thing... I'm trying to think of where else it could leak from.... cause everything else seems fine.... I will double check perhaps tomorrow or in the next few days. I doubt the parts store would take it back..

npfd
hmm I'm not too sure, where about is it leaking from?
npfd
Another issue... we changed the pump to the second one, and we found coolant pooled in the passenger side motor mount. and it drops from the mount.. I dunno if coolant could stay there from the first time we changed the pump, because we removed the pump and then the coolant spilled out. But that was right at the end of March. When we came to change the pump again, a week ago, we noticed that it was wet below the pump, where it seals against the block. We checked around, drove the car for a good run, came home, shut if off. Jacked it up, removed passenger tire, and dirt guard and had a look. Then we found the pool of coolant on the mount. We started the car, let the fans kick in, couldn't find anything. It's been a week and I didn't have to top up the reservoir.... still have to wait and check a few more weeks...
