redynscire
my L67 has a slight miss at idle found out cylinder #2 needed looking into. low compression,60 psi to be exact. so i put #2 on TDC, put compressed air to it...and you can clearly hear air rushing through the throttle body... so would this indicate a bent intake valve??? if so what could have caused it? spiderw31
It does sound like an intake valve to me. Has the engine been over-revved? Valve float due to high RPMs can do that.
redynscire
I am not 100% if this motor has been over-revved. Knowing where i got the motor, I would'nt doubt it has been over-revved. Guess its time to pull the valve cover for further inspection. Then possibly pull the head. oh well.. needed to replace LIM gaskets anyway
spiderw31
Yeah, if you've got loss of compression out the intake, tearing it open is really the only choice.
redynscire
the tearing into it begins... thank you for the input
