Jssuper
I did some searches but didn't have much luck. I have located a Junked 2000 Alero and I am going to pull the TB, but should I grab the MAF also? My limited success in researching this shows that the 2 engines/models have the same MAF, so at best it might be a nice spare part to have. Anyone know if its the same size or larger unit, and if larger is it a worthy unit to install while I have things taken apart? Next question. is removing the screen really that big of an increase in flow? I noticed some threads claiming it is worthy... Thanks.. RobertISaar
should be the same MAF.... also, removing the screens is not only pointless if you don't need the extra flow, it will throw off fuel trims due to it changing the characteristics of the sensor. if you can account for that via tuning, not so bad, but IIRC, it makes them a little less consistent. Jssuper
For the price, and since I am going to remove it anyway.. I will take it and throw it on the shelf as a "just in case"
