Keyless entry problem on 94 regal

I ran the VIN for this regal I just bought. I shows that is equipped with the keyless entry and it came with the remote.

 

It has the black wire w/the white stripe on it next to the antenna.

I found out that if I ground out that wire in the trunk it should trip my locks and put the unit in the programming mode, but it doesnt. Is there a module hidden somewhere for this unit? I looked for a fuse and tried it with the key on and off with no luck.

You might have a bad key less entry receiver. When you ground out that wire in the trunk the locks should lock and unlock.

i think the mogule is under the rear shelf somewhere

you might be able to see it from in the trunk but the backseat and rear deck have to come out to access it.
