Addicted2bass
The tires are shot on my 17" 077s and i've been wanting to upgrade to 18s anyway so I figure this is a good time. I really like the look of the 077s but since they are becoming near impossible to find I started looking at other options. A few people have told me that Mustang Saleen rims will fit but id like a few more opinions before I order them. These are exactly what im looking for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mustang-Saleen-Style-Wheels-18x9-and-Wide-Tires-1994-04-/290563970514?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a6f655d2 Im worried about how wide they are though, especially with the 265 tires. I have 245s on it now. Its not lowered although I am planning on doing that at some point if I can find the parts. Here is the rim specs for my car for comparison. 1989-1990 Pontiac Grand Prix TGP crosslace* wheels are: 16x8 Rims Diameter/Width 5x115 Bolt pattern 25mm Offset The Saleen rims are: 18x9 Diameter/Width 5x114.3 Bolt pattern 24mm Offset I can't see any reason these won't fit, but id like to be 100% sure before I drop a grand on new rims and tires. Also will I run into problems in the future if I lower it 2" or so?
BXX
Wow, what crappy chinese factory did those tires come out of:think: Imma thinking those 24mm offset wheels will come close or plain out hit the strut.. Im running 19x8.5 30mm offset and they are very very close.
BXX
Yup, they have a 6" backspacing, compared to your 5.5". Expect to have to run wheel spacers
Addicted2bass
Factory wheels on my car are 25mm offset, these are 24mm. Cant get much closer then that right? If those are crap tires I could always buy the rims and tires separate. There are quite a few of this style rim on ebay without tires. I was just trying to get them together to save shipping cost. Where did you find the backspacing info? I found these spacers: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-FORD-MUSTANG-SALEEN-COBRA-5x4-5-WHEEL-SPACERS-1-4-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27ba67f4e5QQitemZ170631099621QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
CSI_MuNkY
They are a full inch wider with the same offset though... That means they will stick out an extra half inch, but they will also stick inwards an extra half inch. BXX is right, they are going to get awfully close to the struts, maybe even close to the control arm when turning lock to lock.
Addicted2bass
Any other options I have? I really want to stick with the style of the 077s just in a 18".
Breakdown
August, I think that those rims look really sexy, but I'm weary of tires. I've heard and seen horror stories without blowouts on wear on some of these tires along with noise. I would also ensure that I was getting a tire with a curb guard - those clearly don't have that. I would also share the concerns from BXX about the width, once you get the spacers in you could be 3/4"+ out on the outsides.
xtremerevolution
I know you're looking for 077's, but I saw these a little while back and figured I'd share: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=KV8811435S&wheelMake=Sport+Edition&wheelModel=KV5&wheelFinish=Silver+Painted&showRear=no&autoMake=Pontiac&autoModel=Grand+Prix+GTP&autoYear=1992&autoModClar=&filterFinish=All&filterSize=18&filterBrand=All&filterSpecial=false&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Brand

Would really like a polished aluminum though. How did you get tire rack to pull up 18" rims for a Grand Prix? When I enter my car in it will only show me 15" and 16" rims. xtremerevolution
^^ fake bolts FTL! The fake bolts is the #1 reason I didn't get them. jeremy
plug the wheels #s into the site below....it is by far the best wheel/tire size calculator that I have found online http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
BXX
Jeremy, thats the one I used to figure out what rim to get for my car. I got my rims through here. http://www.elites-wholesale.com/ I basically just looked at tons of rims knowing that bolt pattern and width/offset I wanted to run and finally found a set that I liked. When I am looking for rims that I will never buy this is what I do... I find the selection that tire rack and others give for our cars are very limited, but if you look by size and do some shopping around there are some bad ass choices out there

Addicted2bass
There is a guy local to me selling a set of GXP rims. IIRC the fronts are a different width then the rears? Would these fit my TGP? I need to do something soon because my tires are pretty shot.
