I'm just going to lay out ideas here and talk to make sure I have everything I need before I start next Monday (hoping Powdercoat is done by then).

Need to get

3100 head-lower manifold gasket set ( Felpro...what kit?)

3400 upper-lower gasket

throttle body gasket

*do I need new injector o-rings?*

New coolant to replace what is lost

new oil and filter

Have

EGR adapter

To do during swap

switch thermostat and coolant temp sensor to new manifold

*do i need to swap anything from TB to TB?*

grind lower manifold to make room for rocker(s?)

anything else anyone can think of?

Save yourself the headache and get new injector o rings. Ive reused mine in the past but thats because I wasnt prepared to have to rip my engine apart..

Yeah, any parts store will have them.

If they offer the Viton or whatever injector seals, get those. They are better and tend to last longer, so they are more likely to be perfectly reusable should you have to pull the injectors for something.

Now might be a good time to go OBD2:thumbsup:

I'll be going OBD2 sometime, just not now. More likely when I get back. I haven't read up on the process yet. I can do that while i'm deployed

I can do the harness for ya so you can plug and play, and then all you have to do is wire in the DLC on the interior side. I can also do a bench flash on the PCM to your injector, trans diff, tire size, and other crap.

Once the weather breaks, im gonna get a few harnesses from pullapart to have ready to be OBD2 plug and play for 94/95 cars with PCMs. I dont pay too much for them, so I can keep two harnesses and maybe 2 PCMs on hand.

Adam, sent ya a text with a picture of the bracket. The two are different and wont bolt up to different UIMs.

And as for the gaskets, Id go with the metal Felpro's instead of the plastic ones.

Adam, are you using the stock 3100 TB or do you have a 3400 TB? If so, you'll want to swap the guts of the 3100 into the 3400.

I'll have a look when I get home for that MAP bracket. FWIW, you can run the car without the bracket and it will work. The sensor is light enough that it will just hang on to the vacuum line until you get the bracket.

You shouldnt need to swap anything other then the TPS and IAC. Other than that the only thing you can swap over is the TB shaft ( from the 3100 TB to he 3400 TB). Which may be what hes talking about.

Argeed, this is how i'm running my car for now untill i get around to picking up a bracket.

Also, you will need the alt bracket off of a 3400 UIM, IIRC the 3400 bracket is shorter.

Are you talking about the support bracket that runs from the ALT to the UIM?

I never used that on my swap, but I should have. The 3 bolts on my ALT bracket worked their way loose over time.

I guess I'm confused as to what I need to swap. The 3400 TB I have is stock and has the TPS and IAC in it....I can't just swap it on my manifold and call it a day?

I know about that and will get it at some point.

You want to swap the shaft so that your throttle cable and cruise cable will work. Basically pull out both shafts. Put the 3100 shaft in the 3400 TB and install the 3400 throttle plate. I didn't have to grind the shaft with a dremell like the directions suggest.
