19Cutlass94
Hey guys, I just swapped out the Multec 1 for Multec 2 injectors. The Multec 2 harness I had, I used the injector connectors on my old harness. I matched up the connectors, wire for wire ( which was easy because GM used difference colored wire for each plug ) and those matched between the two harnesses. I soldered every connection then heat shrinked it, I put everything back together, and now I have a no start condition. Ive tried several BIN's and all do the same thing. The SES light doesnt go off with ignition on. and check gauges light doesnt go off either. What could have gotten messed up to the point where its now like this? RobertISaar
?!?!? Why did you do that? ARe you getting your car tuned to run them? Jay ran out of injector. the 22.5s should give more room to play compared to the ~19.5 that were there.
BXX
Err, 3100 L82 injectors are fricken tiny, 17lb/hr
RobertISaar
17.4 at 43.5 PSI, but he had them hooked up to a 55 PSI regulator, pushing them into the ~19.5 range.
Jonpro03
Are they the same flow rating? I remember I swapped out 20lb/hrs with 24lb/hrs once thinking it would be ok, but it wouldn't even start unless it was WOT. Are you batch fire or SFI? 19Cutlass94
yeah they are all the same flow rate. These injectors have been sitting for years. So im thinking that either there stuck open or they are shit. I didnt OHM test them before I put them in which I should have...
19Cutlass94
Found the problem. Need new injectors.
BXX
Sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one:lol: Sucks that you need new injectors, but it beats a pinched and damaged wiring harness that it coulda been.
Jonpro03
I've got some Yellowtops laying around
19Cutlass94
yeah well I completely redid the harness. Ive got power going to all the injectors, but i guess after yrs of sitting, they said fuck you im not allowing fuel into your cylinders! What #/hr are they? Jonpro03
They're 19lb/hr at 43.5psi, that's 22 at 55psi. They ran 90% duty cycle at 2psi boost on my 3500. EDIT: I guess they're 19lb/hr at 39.6psi or 22.4 at 55psi. $30 shipped and they're yours. Edited May 3, 2011 by Jonpro03

Jonpro03
No worries. I thought I had some 3500 injectors (multec2s), but I threw them away a couple of weeks ago.
BXX
I have LX9 injectors still, but they are the little bastards:lol: Dunno if those will work
Jonpro03
Good point. If you use lx9 injectors, you will have to modify your rail.
