WhatTheFehl
sounds real good. i like that. im gonna sell these cherry bombs and buy two of those short bombs. whats the length and inlet outlet sizes you ordered? 2 inch inlet and outlet, got adapters because our retarded stock mufflers go from 2inch inlet to 1 7/8 inch outlet. 8 inch muffler size, 12 inch overall length. Cherry Bomb Part number 87520. This is where I ordered mine: http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com/Exhaust/Cherry-Bomb-Glass-Pack-Muffler Price has gone up a couple bucks a piece since I ordered mine. No offense but I'm reminded why I didn't buy cherry bombs! Go longer resonators, mine are 18", I had a 10" on the exhaust what I first installed it and it was raspy as fuck! Eh, it could sound better. But for the amount of time, effort and money invested (very little of all three) I'm happy with the outcome. And 2,000-2,500 RPM sounds like the sex with these. Basically my point with buying these was that my stockers were rusted out and I LOVED the sound they made like that... I was just trying to retain the sound but be able to pass emissions inspection with these. Not quite the same, but not bad either.
AWeb80
a little too raspy for my taste. but not bad for a chep set up. in piping from DP back w/ cat and resonator i have around $450 in mine with it all installed.
WhatTheFehl
a little too raspy for my taste. but not bad for a chep set up. in piping from DP back w/ cat and resonator i have around $450 in mine with it all installed. About $60 bucks worth of mufflers, $10 worth of extensions, clamps, and adapters, and probably $100 (don't remember exactly) worth of shop labor for having it welded. I didn't go nuts with this because I was unemployed at the time and was just trying to get the car inspected with my tax refund. These all told most likely ended up being cheaper (or about the same price) as replacing them with stockers. white4d96
I'm planning on putting a Cherry Bomb in as a res right after my cat. It's a 2.25in/out and...27" overall? I forget and I'm at work now so I can't look at the box. My flange for the catback is gone anyhow so I gotta do something about it. I'll post pics and vids. Munky did you have issues passing emissions with the walker cat? I was debating upsizing my piping and am looking for a cat that won't pull a catalyst code. CSI_MuNkY
No the walker Cat is what I did TO pass the emissions.... I had a Magnaflow High Flow cat on it, but I might as well of had none, because the car failed miserably. When I put the walker cat on it passed with flying colors.
