Hello everyone. I am looking for others on this forum who may have a 1988 Olds Indy Pace Car. I have acquired one recently that has extremely low miles on it. Please notify me at any time and I will respond as soon as possible. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum! When you have a chance post up some pictures of your pace car.

Thanks, she has not been driven one mile since I acquired it. I do start it often. It truly is a great car. This is the actual car discussed in the wikeapedia article.

Is that the car that was in Dallas?

I am building a 1988 GMC Indy hauler clone. :D

I think Ken must be on the floor having a seizure, foaming at the mouth, because he hasn't responded yet... :leaving:

Yes, a suburb outside of Dallas.

Thought so I had seen it on ebay. But I never got a chance to go and check it out.

Thanks, I'm finding out how rare these care truly are. Should be a lot of fun owning it.

Probably less than 15 remain. Most were destroyed. Crazy K has a lot of info on them.

I was fortunate enough to get to go to the Indy Museum in 1988. ;)

It was exactly as advertised. I have spoken to a few guys who have one, however they all have salvaged titles on their vehicles. This vehicle has a clean title. This is the same vehicle discussed in the wikapedia article on the internet. It was originally owned by Fred Knaublach who was a dealer in Pennsylvania. I have a complete history on the vehicle including all of the media and pace car events from 1988.

Don't forget what appears to be an '82 Z28 pace car too...

And a McLaren Capri?
