Laveen Z34
Need some help in fixing this problem. L turn signal just stuck and don't blink with front markers lit up but rear ones = none, R side is OK. When hazard flasher turned on all lights work. Could it be the relay and if so WHERE IS IT? white4d96
I think that may be the turn signal switch in the column. Sounds like what I had happen. Don't quote me on that though.
Crazy K
the turn signals will not blink if any single rear bulb is out on the side that fails to function. If the bulbs are checked and verified to be good it is the switch. If the condition is identical on both sides, it is possibly the flasher module, which is located directly above the accelerator pedal. test tip: try your hazards. Schurkey
L turn signal just stuck and don't blink with front markers lit up but rear ones = none, R side is OK. Could it be the relay and if so WHERE IS IT? The "relay" is typically called the "Flasher", and if one side works...the relay/flasher is not the problem. the turn signals will not blink if any single rear bulb is out on the side that fails to function. Yup--as long as the vehicle does NOT have a "heavy duty" flasher. A "heavy duty" flasher is often used on vehicles that pull trailers, so the trailer light electrical load doesn't screw up the flasher speed. A heavy-duty flasher will flash with some lights burnt out. A regular-duty flasher is set up so that all lights must work or flasher won't flash. If the bulbs are checked and verified to be good it is the switch. Unless the wiring to the bulbs is defective; or the ground path is defective. Double-filament bulbs can have one filament burn out while the other still works. If the condition is identical on both sides, it is possibly the flasher module Yes. test tip: try your hazards. When hazard flasher turned on all lights work. IF (big IF) the turn signals and the hazard lights use the same bulbs and filaments...sounds like turn signal switch to me. VERIFY before ordering a new switch!!! I'm not convinced that the hazard and turn signals are sharing the rear filaments. I would pull the non-working turn signal bulbs out of the sockets and inspect both the bulbs and the sockets. Use a test light on the sockets to determine if they're getting power.
