Rocketman
Hey all, I ordered the strut brace kit from GMPD - part # 12498648 I placed the order April 5th... here we are at the 13th and the status is "on order" Just curious long long it usually takes them to ship these - I imagine its a special order part? I'm waiting on the front bar so I can design a set of brackets to use it on the 1G W's. -Rocketman
RobertISaar
IIRC, somebody had a problem with them and their trailing arms as well?
94 olds vert
IIRC, somebody had a problem with them and their trailing arms as well? Yes, I did try to order a set of trailing arms and after waiting about a week I had to call the company and find out what was up. Apparently, it was a discontinued item and they couldn't ship it. They did refund my money.
slick
I just ordered the STB bars about a month ago, no issue. Should take about 10 business days for it to move from On Order to shipping. If you search on the gmpd website, you can easily find this information.
urbex
Damn, does GMPD have ANYTHING? I just tried to order something last week (some weatherstripping) and they said GM discontinued it. Went to the dealer to see if I could find out if any dealers had any stocked I could get, the guy says he can order it...sure enough they still make it. jman093
GMPD shipping is expensive too, you think it'd be faster than that. I've also had a number of times where GMPD showed something not available only to find its available from any dealer. There must be some parts they won't sell or something. jimmyfloyd
GMPD is just another dealer. They probably only list things that are easily accessible or available. When you go to the dealer, they can check with the other dealerships to check their stock, and order it from them. So it might be discontinued, but there are still some around. urbex
No, mine actually was still available directly from GM. He was saying it'd only be a couple days since it was at the warehouse in Pontiac. Because I was expecting to have to get it from another dealer...but I didn't have to. Night Fury
Seems like it took a while when I got mine back when I did as well.
Rocketman
On average your order will ship out in 7-10 business days. In some cases it may take longer due to back-ordered, special-ordered or unavailable parts. Please note you are notified in site policies of approximate shipping times I guess that sounds about right then. Thanks guys I was just wondering EDIT: oh shit Buck, whats up? Not used to your name on here. Ever test fit that adapter? Edited April 14, 2011 by Rocketman whoadude
