urbex
So I'm sitting here in class and am bored, and a thought occurred to me. Tried searching, but couldn't find anything. If I were to find a steering wheel from a Lumina LTZ with the radio controls on the wheel from a junkyard, would I be able to just put that in and have it work? Or would it need any sort of rewiring? Always been a fan of having those buttons, so it'd be nice to have...plus I'm getting annoyed with how the coloring is peeling off my wheel, it'd be nice to find a clean one. Does anyone know? Thanks! (I promise, no more questions for today...)
88red4cyl
AFAIK, these cars aren't prewired for SWRC... So you would have to add the wiring for it to work...
urbex
Ok, that's what I wondered. Thanks!
RobertISaar
can't speak for the wiring existing in the non-SWRC equipped cars, but if you're willing to deal with it, i can grab the diagrams you'll need to install it.
urbex
Nah, that's ok. If it isn't really just plug and play I don't really want to do it. Besides, I'd have to find one in decent shape....hard to find ANY in decent shape, so I figure it'd be hard to find a nice LTZ wheel anyways. Thanks though!
