Psych0matt Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 (edited) So I started cleaning up the 18"s because they need a little help. I started on the worst one, and it's not nearly as bad as I thought. Point being, I am going to paint them no matter what. I want your guys opinion on what color I should go with. I'm thinking bright silver (basically stock/normal), slightly darker silver, gunmetal, or black. here are das wheels: Edited March 31, 2011 by Psych0matt Quote
WhatTheFehl Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 black only if you leave the rim silver. All black makes the car too... uninteresting? I don't know, it would be like black overload. Other than that I vote staying with silver. Quote

My main opposition to that is that it doesn't really have a lip Otherwise that's probably exactly what I'd do without thinking. Quote

94 olds vert Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 I say just paint them up silver. Quote
Twenty Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 4 wheels, (previously) 4-way tie in voting for the colour. Hmm... Quote
Wheels Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 I think silver or gunmetal would look great no matter what....but if i have to choose one, i'd pick gunmetal. Quote
BXX Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 I say get rid of the damn things:lol: Matt, if we test fit my new rims on your car, you'll be fapping for days and want a set. Those Infiniti rims are just too plain for a GTP. Quote
Psych0matt Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 I like plain. Do you not remember my cutlass wheels? Seriously though, I really really like them. Yours are alright, but they just arent my style Quote
urbex Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I'd say both silver or gunmetal would look good, but since I had to pick for the poll, I'm going silver. Quote
Psych0matt Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) first one filled, sanded, and ready for primer. Gonna do this one first and see if there needs to be any changes in my approach. This one is by far the worst, the rest mostly just have a little bit of rash on the lip and a nick here or there. Ive seen some DIY writeups use bondo, but I used an actual metal filler. Pretty sure it'll hold up better, it just takes a bit longer to sand Edited March 28, 2011 by Psych0matt Quote
urbex Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Wow, this poll is very helpful...lol. 5-5. I guess whatever you choose you can't go wrong! Quote
jake91 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 better idea strip and polish edit nevermind forgot filler wont polish lol Quote
Addicted to eaton Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Love em silver man not kidding they look Great! Quote

pwmin Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I got the "Graphite" color paint at good ol AZ, should look this color when done: have you used it before? I have it, but it's too "sparkly" for my taste, especially the clearcoat...just FYI if you weren't aware. Quote
Psych0matt Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Yeah, I think I'll like it If not, at least I already smoothed everything out, a repaing is easier than filling. I'm just doing one first to see how it turns out Quote
mra32 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 bronze these wheels look really good bronze: Quote
