Possible Vacuum Leak?

Ok, so this started a while ago, probably about a year ago maybe... I usually have my radio on loud enough I don't hear it, so it doesn't bother me, but tonight my ipod died and I could hear it, so it reminded me...figured I'd ask.

On acceleration, there's a whirring noise. Well, I think it's a whir...I'm not great with describing sounds. Can't really tell 100% where it's coming from, but somewhere in the front maybe drivers side. When it first started doing it I thought maybe it was a sign of a wheel bearing going bad, but then I realized it has nothing to do with speed or anything, and it's only when you're pressing the gas. Once you start coasting it goes away, so it's engine related I'm guessing.

Is that what a vacuum leak would sound like? I really have no idea since if the truck has any (which I'm sure it does) there's no way to hear it...this is the oldest "quiet" car I have...lol

I'm guessing it doesn't affect anything, since I have plenty of power and get great mileage, but I was just wondering since I was reminded of it again tonight...
