Bolt_Crank Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 wtf man? only a month? do you ride that bitch or what?  christ, a 5-speed isn't worth it Quote
dykz34 Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 No, not every month. He means with the occasion race each month... it should last 15k miles. Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 still.... only 15K? that's still not really worth it Quote
Teferius Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 I think I read all the posts Jon did you get that LSD in yet? Still waiting on mine from that @$$ Tom Wright. Quote
dykz34 Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 I dont think he has LSD.... how much did you pay for yours from *gasp* Tom Wright? Quote
Vegeta Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 A 5 speed is not worth it...just keep saying that cause the more people that believe you, the more people I walk all over on teh street and the track. Keep believing 15k as well. Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 if it only lasts 15k, then 5 speed owners who didn't race would only get about 25k out of them.... that's just.... Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 that's what I'm thinking... Aaron's gotta be driving around with the cluch half down  Quote
Aaron Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 i have a brand new clutch. ok ben.....ive run through 2 clutches already, on 3. the last one i replaced at 12, couldve gone another 3. it was a General Motor's clutch, straight form the dealer. true i raced it, but not that hard. Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 You have to be on that clutch like a mofo for it to burn out so damn quick. once it's in gear, it doesn't use the clutch. when you stop, do you just use the brakes and clutch or what? Quote
Aaron Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 its FWD. that alone means the disc will need to be small. then take into account that the clutch is a reverse pull clutch, which the guy says is about twice as hard on a clutch. then add in that we are pushing a lot of power to this clutch, and racing it. it wasnt meant to be raced. i can drive a stick, we own 4. and i never ride mine or any of them, clutches go out, and this one goes out alot faster than the others(small block chevy's) Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 so, you're telling me... it's the same style as the one for my truck, the one for the truck was definately smaller, and I raced every day with it....my clutch itself never went out, just the hydraulic cylinder to move it obviously, one of three things 1. GM royally fucked up 2. something in your car is screwed 3. you're doing something wrong. and # of vehicles you own or have access to, in NO WAY relates to your ability to drive them Quote
