i would suggest searching youtube and listening to peoples setups, with LQ1 of course.

But i agree that Magnaflows are the way to go, with or without a resonator.

not sure what you are asking there.... Glasspacks and resonators are virtually the same design. Vibrant makes a res you can find on the net for around $60 IIRC. Get the 18" for best results.

it is installed after the cat, before the Y to the mufflers.

Thanks. Which one makes better resonators? Glasspacks or resonators? And which brand would allow the most performance?

I love the flowmasters on mine. Needs a resonator for sure. I think magnaflows are a little too buzzy IMO. Flowmasters are throatier. But like everyone else has said, go with a resonator as well.

Hey Jake,

Did yours have the regular Magnaflows muff's or the XL's and what resonator did you run? It sounds great.

I put an 18 in Flowtech Red Hot glass pack resonator on mine (2 1/4 in). It is the spiral louvered style with the louver opening to the rear (advance auto parts $17) ok for now. I have always liked the sound of the Hooker aerochamber muff's and would like to try them when I upgrade to 2 1/2 in - 2 1/4in, but not sure how they will sound with the LQ1.
