madmax
With the weather getting cooler, I'm been having some problems with the car hesitating and stalling. It seems when I give it a slight amount of gas, it will hesitate for a few seconds, then all of a sudden it will "kick" in and run fine. I had it tuned up this past spring with new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and the tb cleaned. Is this sort of normal for this time of year or could there be something else going out in it. Also, what kind of gas mileage are you getting with your 2.8 engine? Mine varies from 13 to 16 mpg. Thanks. Max
Guest Anonymous
I think you should be getting better mileage than that. Pull the IAC valve and clean it and it's passage ways. The IAC valve is the top sensor on the side of the TB. You could also try cleaning your EGR valve.

Intlcutlass
My Cutlass with a 2.8 gets 30+ MPG on the freeway with the cruise on 62MPH. When they did the tune up, did they clean the terminals on the coils? I have had a similar problem.
