94 olds vert
I have KYB struts in the rear of my cutlass and I like them. If you can find a Cutlass Supreme convertible front strut tower brace it will bolt right up to your car.
virtuetovice
You still have the original stock struts??
AliasCT
I had all original struts on my 93 GP until I replaced them last year with KYB's. They were shot to hell though, lol. No idea how long my now-girlfriend drove the damn thing with the struts in that condition... I like how the KYB's run. Smoothed the whole car out. Like I said, though, my struts were completely FUBR. And if your car only has FE1 suspension... Grab the front 34mm sway bar out of a FE3 car! Makes a big difference. Not sure what Cutlasses' had in terms of rear suspension, but worth looking into rear sway bar options too.
5speedz34
I have KYB's all the way around on my stock 225k suspension and I find the KYB's to be slightly on the harsh end. Especially on the freeway at times I get some 'pogo-sticking' from the rear end. Might be OK with a FE1 suspension though.
1994 Supreme Cutlass
Thanks for the advice I will look for the convertible strut tower brace and the KYBS all the way around and I will look for a rear sway bar

Addicted to eaton
If there anything like the 2nd gens, there junk. BOTH my sets started leaking with in 2k miles. but the ride sure was nice for them 2k miles.

xtremerevolution
If there anything like the 2nd gens, there junk. BOTH my sets started leaking with in 2k miles. but the ride sure was nice for them 2k miles. They are nothing like 2nd gens. Can't begin to tell you how many times this has been discussed. 2nd Gens require KYB AGX's for lowering because the KYB GR2's seem to blow up easily with stiffer springs. I've had my Regal lowered with KYB GR2's for well over 50k miles now and they're still excellent.
Addicted to eaton
Mine was not lowered.
White93z34
I have KYB's all the way around on my stock 225k suspension and I find the KYB's to be slightly on the harsh end. Especially on the freeway at times I get some 'pogo-sticking' from the rear end. Might be OK with a FE1 suspension though. I'm willing to bet 225,000 mile springs have more to do with that then the struts do.
AliasCT
It was my understanding that springs alone - without struts - would "pogo-stick", and thats why you have good struts; to absorb the impact and stop the nasty rebound from happening... Given that, I have FE1 springs with KYB's, and the ride is really smooth...
