pitzel
Just get some heater hose and make 2 of them yourself, with hose clamps. There's nothing special about it.

maybe2fast
bypass it...it will help keep IATs down and will not effect tb icing up, unless in extreme cold (artic)
734_jackson
i would bypass both hoses. by jumping them to each other. reason is more power, you wont be heating up the throttle body so this means colder fuel so more power. good luck. Hairdo12
Bypassing it gains you 0.01 hp and 0.001 torque. Not worth the risk of a frozen throttle body to bypass. The coolant runs through the throttle body for a reason, it wasn't put there to reduce power and increase costs. Some scrap heater hose at the part store will do the trick for new hoses. BXX
Except 99.99% of all newer cars dont have coolant running through their throttle bodies:thumbsup: Engineers figured it out a while back that you dont need to do that. What are yall doing to freeze your TBs? Quit putting water in your throttle body and youll be fine:lol:

RobertISaar
well, no 95 and prior 3100 ever had it, and i've heard of exactly 0 cases where there was throttle stickage...
white4d96
IIRC Milzy sells a coolant tube with the barbs for the TB tubes deleted. I seem to recall it being pricey though, like $40?
Galaxie500XL
This used to be a real problem with carbeurated cars, mostly because there was FUEL being pulled down by the throttle plates, along with air. The '64 Ford I had was bad to do this if the temps were low, and humidity was high. I can't imagine that with port fuel injection, meaning the throttle plates are DRY, that this would cause any further issue.
1979lee
Well folks, ive done the work on the lumi, all fixed up now, the egr and tb were in need of cleaning for sure. the egr passage had some black crap in it, i cleaned that out with a piece of firm wire. and carb cleaner and compressed air gun the tb hoses were reinstalled with new hose and clamps, the coolant passage was slightly plugged with dexcool sludge, but all in all it was an easy fix. it idles smoother now.
