91LuminaEuro
The Eibach lowering springs for the second gen cars. Are they worth anything? I've come across a set for a decent price (i think?) and just curious if they're worth putting on the car. I'm going to be taking a look at the suspension on the Monte this spring, and if im goign to be putting springs on the car, why not make the stance a little better. Any input would be awesome! KingVee
You will wear out a lot of suspension and drivetrain components much faster with them. The lower you go, the faster they will wear out and more "modifications" will be needed in order to reduce that wear, number one being the struts as they just won't last. You can refer a bit to this guide to help you. http://www.grandprixforums.net/want-lower-your-car-look-here-28165.html
RZB1992
Had them on an Intrigue I had. They're terribly stiff, and not to mention, they rust, and break apart very easily!
pwmin
Never had Eibach on my W's, but I had the Sportlines on my Cobalt and the ride didn't bother me at all. I like stiff suspension. It rode better than when I had ST's and coilovers on my 1st gens. Never heard about the breaking problems and being in CO, rust isn't an issue. Not sure what I'll be going with on the Regal, but if I found a cheap set of Eibachs, I'd go with them. What price did you find them at? They usually go for around $250 new.
