supertrick_05 Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I'm just wondering if anyone has ever bought a new carpet for their cars. If so, who did you get it through? When I get my GP, more than likely it's going to have crappy, dirty carpet that won't get clean, just like my old '92 GP. It had the graphite interior and the carpet was shot with dirt and was wore down. Quote
White93z34 Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I know there are ones out there, however it seems most are china junky junk. personally I've had excellent success removing from the car and powerwashing at a quater car wash Quote
WhatTheFehl Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I'm pretty sure rock auto sells replacement carpet for our cars, duno how good of quality it is. New carpet is something I want for the GP but it is pretty far down on the to-do list (like, near the bottom ) Quote
slick Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 #1: Go to local junkyard. #2: Remove good carpet #3: Take carpet to local carwash, clean #4: Install in your car You will not find an aftermarket carpet that fits worth a damn. Quote
GP4U2NV Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 ACC is where I got mine years ago. I would rate it 8 out of ten Quote
supertrick_05 Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 ACC is where I got mine years ago. I would rate it 8 out of ten Ah, I was waiting to see if someone ever got an ACC carpet or not. Why 8 out of 10 may I ask? I've heard their fitment isn't all that spectacular, and they used to have crappy dye where the carpet would change colors. I work at an upholstery shop, so I was just wondering if anyone ever put the effort of buying a new carpet for their car and what vendor they used. Quote
slick Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I forget what brand I used, but it was horrible. Fitment, finish, it was thin, etc.... Not good. Go to the junkyard and find a good used carpet, clean it, and use it. Quote
LuminaPower92 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Quick threadjack, but will a cutty black interior fit a lumina sedan or from any coupe/vert/sedan for that matter? Quote

UWISHU1 Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 can someone tell me what color my carpet is? It's in need of replacement, Thanks. Quote
paulo57509 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 can someone tell me what color my carpet is? It's in need of replacement, Thanks. You need to find an area of the carpet that's not worn or sun faded. Try looking at the portion of the carpet that's under the front seats or remove the rear seat bottom and look there. Quote
patgizz Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 the ACC carpet i used was a 4 out of 10. worst part was the stiff backing that didnt let it conform to the floor Quote
