4T60E Solenoid or bad ground?

Hey guys,

Been having problems with my 95 GTP as of late. Was about to take a highway trip back in November when my car decided it wouldn't shift from 2nd to 3rd. I turned the car around, checked the fluid and it was dirty and low. Ive never noticed transmission fluid leaking from my car. I got the transmission flushed and a new filter. Car ran fine for 3 weeks, although I barely drive it since I walk to work now. After 3 weeks I was heading to a friends work (Captain Ficho's) and 3rd no longer worked. Next day it was working again. Fluid is clean and not low. It seems like I'm having an intermittent problem here which is a pain in my ass. I've been told it could be the shift solenoid, so I bought one, only $30 at the dealer. Haven't had a chance to put it in yet. Captain Ficho and I thought it could also be a bad ground. Any one have any thoughts to support either theory?

Yeah, my car did the exact same thing when I had a bad solenoid. You can always check the circuit. It would be a good idea. There's a round connector on the transmission you can easily access from underhood. Is your check engine light on? Mine would have been on, but the code had been turned off with a tuner. I turned it back on once I got a DHP and realized what had been done. It's now off again since I fixed it. There are 2 shift solenoids (plus the tcc solenoid, all serviced with same part). If there's no code to pinpoint the bad one, you might be able to figure it out by ohm testing the new solenoid and comparing it to the old ones.
