nebojsa_o Posted February 12, 2011 Author Report Posted February 12, 2011 So I went to two junk yards today, and got the headlights, that plastic bracket thing they bolt up to, and bumper bar, and the plastic absorber for a total of $55. That's by far the best "score" I've had at junk yards around here. And finally bumped into a Maxima at a junk yard, which had nice door sills that say Maxima, so I grabbed those too. The AC condenser is slightly bent, but might still be fine, so I'll try to straighten that out when I get more of my shit apart. I'm taking pictures when I remember, so I might have a few before/during/after pics at some point. It will be a long project though, since I just don't have the time for it. I'll keep you guys posted. Quote
nebojsa_o Posted February 14, 2011 Author Report Posted February 14, 2011 A little update. I started pulling stuff off, and getting parts from the JY. Not sure how quickly the project will go, but I'll do it a bit here and there when I have time. I took some pics this weekend. Might as well post them. Quote
Addicted to eaton Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 cant wait to see it done. Quote
94 olds vert Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Doesn't look all that bad. Quote
jimmyfloyd Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Doesn't look too bad. One area of concern is this bent at all, and how hard is it to replace. This is the 5mph bumper in those cars, so if it is bent at all, you'll probably fail an inspection for it. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Ahhh yes I remember them days! Thats not bad at all. Im sure youll have it fixed in no time! Quote
mediabandit Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 Doesn't actually look like it is too bad. You should have that thing up and running and looking good pretty quick. Good luck. Quote
nebojsa_o Posted February 16, 2011 Author Report Posted February 16, 2011 Thanks guys. About this bent piece. Is it something I can just straighten out and get away with, or do I need to replace the pieces? I just used some wide pliers to straighten it out today after work, and it looks fine, nothing broke, but I don't know if that's an acceptable solution. It's gonna be a busy week, so I'm not sure how much time I'll get to work on it, but I'll try. Quote
94 olds vert Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I would just try to make it straight as you can get it and call it good enough. Just get it good enough so your new bumper sits level. Quote
