Sipping on cold start pulloff ,1994 regal 3.8

It happens only half the time, on first pull off of the day, trans slips. Its not the clutches because they would have smoked themselves by now, rather its in convertor. i ve heard of a check valve that keeps conv charged with fluid, and of a phenom called convertor drain back. I run a medium sized cooler and i know that can cause issues with 2nd gear starts, shift timing, but what do yall think. BTW, the problem is innocuous i think, because it has no bad pan sediment and its done it for years. Been rebuilt at 160k , now 220k miles.

Thanks

If it has driven like this for years, why worry about it now?

Just next time if you have to do anything with the trans, yeah make sure the converter is replaced as well.
