visitor
Hey all my parts car is a 1993 grand prix ste. I'm building a 1994 gtp. I notice a few visual changes, but is there a list of changes somewhere? Is it worth pulling the 93 motor to rebuild to drop in the 94? Thanks! Schurkey
I'm thinking the '94 uses a camshaft position sensor to provide a signal that allows sequential injection; the '93 and earlier engine has no cam sensor, and therefore has batch-fire injection. I don't remember if the '94 has the newer-style cam pulley system, or if that came later.
visitor
Thanks! Is it worth putting the 93 motor in the 94? Can I swap parts to get the newer injection?
White93z34
it works better the other way around. you would have to swap the front cam carrier and the timing cover to allow the second crank sensor to hookup and to get the cam sensor working
