Addicted to eaton
The vid doesn't show because of privacy settings. Did he try and idle relearn? last i knew that does not work on a 1st gen.. I know my 99 would rev up with out the intake on it. But would idle fine with the tube on it. PaulBennett
What means "top swapped" ??
AL
It was originally a non supercharged 3800, but he put the top end of a supercharged 3800 on so its now supercharged
enzo354
Ok so the IAC is at 130-170, idling anywhere from 2000-3000rpm. Nothing else is wrong but that, and I know its not an issue of the control itself, its where its reading from or the wiring. Any ideas? 9lumina6
Are you running an L36 or L67 MAP sensor?.....idk if that would really matter...but just curious. And check all the vac lines to make sure they are routed correctly. Also....maybe change the PCV valve in the blower...
Galaxie500XL
I don't know if the sensor itself makes a difference, but I'd suspect it does. Keep in mind, a supercharger does it's best work a lower RPM...which, when you stop and think about it, would reduce engine vacuum...just like a vacuum leak. I was under the impression the PCM programming was different on the L67?
AL
It is, he had it tuned
enzo354
Its been tuned and the SC belt isnt hooked on yet, so its not an issue of that. Ive triple checked the vacuum lines already. What sends the code to the IAC?
AL
the PCM, but I dont know what it used to determine the counts
9lumina6
Ya know...I wonder if the sensor itself is just bad. Did you swap sensors over from the L36 TB to the L67 one? I'm not 100% sure if the part #'s are different.
