CSI_MuNkY
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, i thought about putting it in the classifieds but at the same time I'm kind of looking for information at the same time... Mods feel free to move it if you feel the need. For those that haven't heard, I messed up a cross lace and one of the tires on it. The tire has a 1/2" cut in the side wall and a 1.5" gash in the bead. It's toast as far as I am concerned. Now I am trying to find a replacement, because the other 3 tires have barely been used. The tire I need is a Hankook Ventus RS-2, 245/45/16, a discontinued tire. Does anyone here know of any places to find discontinued tires? Does anyone know of any for sale on a local forum or classified? I have been contacting places and 75% of them are offering me a 245/45/16 Fuzion ZRi in its place, however the ZRi is considerably harder, I don't want to drastically mix match tires like that on a car that I intend to push into corners. Just doesn't strike me as very safe. Other than that, can anyone recommend a 200 AA A, 245/45/16 tire that I might be able to swap in there? I have looked but have come up empty handed. Thanks guys

CSI_MuNkY
On the plus side, rim will be getting fixed next week for a case of Heineken. Guy in the shop I work at says he has done a bunch of rims, including a vette rim that was destroyed, welded the piece back in. The customer got it refinished and balanced, good as new! mra32
Dang...that sounds like a much more favorable route than my having to refinish 2 more wheels...I'm totally not looking forward to it. Except i do have access to a sandblaster this time
