Use 2nd Gen exhaust on 1st Gen Grand Prix?

I have read that the catback exhaust systems for the 1997 and up Grand Prix's can be used on the 1988 - 1996 model with a few mods.

 

What modifications need to be done to make it fit?

Well first off....the flange in the front would have to be changed....because IIRC the 1st gens have a rectangular flange? (I can't remember, It's been a while since I had my 93 GP) The 2nd gen is an oval. I'm not sure if the piping is bent differently..but if it isnt..I think you'd just have to re-weld the hangers in different spots on the exhaust pipe....the muffler hangers should be the same.
