OD/TCC lockup temp?

Is it engine temp dependent or trans temp dependent?

 

I thought it was trans temp related and I figured it would engage at at least 100*, but I've been watching the trans temp while getting on the highway right away after start-up and TCC kicked in both nights with the trans temp between 68*-72*.(cooler than I would've ever figured) The trans temp gauge only updates like every 30 or 60 secs or something so if it is trans temp dependent I'm assuming it's 70*

I believe it's trans temp dependant, and that sounds about right, it doesn't take much. The coolant temp gauge usually hasn't moved for me on my cars when it locks-up.

It is engine coolant temperature dependent. I don't know the exact minimum apply temp, but it should be somewhere around 120-130*F.
