Hairdo12
Last week I encountered this problem and again on Saturday and then three times this morning. I have a 3pm appointment at the dealer today however I would like to educate myself further before I go in so I can counter the BS lines they'll feed me to get me out of there quickly. The problem is, I go to start the car, and I get a single click from the starter solenoid and then all electrical is lost on the car for about 10 seconds. Electrical is lost to the point where I need to reset the clock on the radio and the on board compass needs to re calibrated. Also, during the power outage, I cannot take the key out of the ignition. I went to jump start the car, thinking the battery was weak and it started just fine. After that, the car started 10 times no problems. Any thoughts? BXX
You have a loose cable. Check battery cable connections, make sure they are clean and tight. Also, check the ground from the battery and to the aux post.
Hairdo12
Battery tested at only 90 cranking amps. Replaced under GM certified warranty .
Cully77
nice, I had mine replaced under warranty too. It was annoying because it was like 48 hrs after buying it and I couldn't jump it myself because the hood was under a shelf in parents garage. Had to call AAA who brought a jump box. No more bumper to bumper left for me, and only powertrain till the end of january.
