MemphisMan
I was searching posts last night and found a discussion about how stock MC front springs might have a different spring rate and/or be a bit shorter than stock CS springs. The thought was that using stock MC front springs in a CS could possibly lower it an inch or so. I couldn't tell from the responses if this is true and now I can't find the thread :shrug:Just looking for a definite answer. I'm only looking to drop the nose 1.5" tops. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.
Dark Ride
I remember that thread, but I believe the consensus was that they wouldn't work.
White93z34
the springs will fit just the same but I doubt you will get a drop of any significance out of them
Crazy K
here's what i heard from TAYLOR... that the FUX stock springs were and sat slightly shorter than some of the other stock springs... He chose to install them on his cars to allow the fronts to drop slightly. Other than that, the front springs on all gen 1 cars are the same as the front on gen 1.5, but you have a variety of factory spring weight, as well as the so call "FE1 vs FE3" claims. It has been proven that the same springs can be on an FE1 and FE3 car...
MemphisMan
I'll dig a little deeper into the different spring rates and see whats available in the junk yards to play around with.
